KERRY, 25 ÅR

Dear Ma’am and Sir, Hello! I am excited to meet you soon . My name is Kerry Ann I am 25 years old. I was born in San Juan, Echague, Isabela but currently living in Poblacion Sur, Carmen, Bohol. My friends calls me “khing”.I can say that I am a well disciplined, responsible, and optimistic person. Last 2019, I finished my college degree at Bohol Island State University- Bilar Campus with the course Bachelor of Secondary Education- Filipino. On the same year I passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers. While studying high school and college, I became a working student. I worked and helped in my relative’s house, I do some household chores or would take care of my cousin every time my aunty will do something important. I am blessed because they are very kind to me. In return of my labor they provided me school materials, give me allowance for my daily expenses, pay my monthly tuition fee and boarding house. On the other hand, I like watching random things online and I love making simple handicrafts or would spend my free time sleeping. I also like organizing things, if I have time I arrange my things, make recycled organizing boxes or if needed I will buy boxes or containers for my things. I have mentioned I like watching random videos online, one of my favorites is anime (even if I can’t finished a whole season) I’m so curious how the creators intricately made those animated series. I watched videos featuring different places, one of my ultimate dream is to travel around the world. Now, I would like to introduce my family. My mother is a single parent I have four sisters.I’m the eldest by the way. One of the most memorable moment that I have with them was when they were little. Way back then, I usually helped them while they are eating and taking a bath. I watched them when playing or sometimes I will play with them and make sure that everyone is well taken care of. There are a lot of things we did together that we enjoyed. One more experience that I had to take care a child is with my two cousins. Since I moved in my relative’s house that I mentioned earlier. During weekends or my free time I will go from school to their house. I spent my free time in helping my aunty to do some household chores. Sometimes, I water the plants, clean the house, wash the dishes, or if there are new plants I would asked my aunty if I could prepare new pots for the plants. If my cousin (John he’s the eldest child of my aunty) is having a hard time in his school works I will help him too and make sure that his things are ready. Ashely (youngest child of my aunty) if her mother is busy I will be the one to take care of her. I used to help her in taking her bath, give her food or milk, I even put her to sleep when her mother is not around. We also do playtimes or go to her grandma’s house to play with her other cousins. Now that she’s in 3rd grade, I sometimes help her out with her school works also. Talking about professional experience, after graduating in college I worked for 2 years as a teacher handling different subjects from grade 7-10. I officially started on August 2021 and my contract finished last May 2023. Being a teacher is not an easy task we need to meet the demands of changing society. It’s hard but also rewarding, seeing the smiles of the students and enjoying their every moment with their friends is one of the precious rewards that a teacher could witness. Aside from teaching my students I make sure that they are well mannered and disciplined. Every time I feel like somebody is not feeling well or having a bad day I talked to them privately or asked my colleagues if they observed the same thing I feel or saw to my students. One of the most memorable moments that I had with them is during our free time. We will play something, decorate the classroom or clean our assigned areas. It’s funny because the cleaning time will turn to playtime, I love seeing them laughing with each other, teased each other in a good way, running towards me and saying teacher Khing ! I will clean this one, I’ll do it teacher, I will bring food tomorrow teacher, please make the exam easy. Hearing their valid excuses or reasons melts my heart and would bring me back my memoirs of being once a student. We have a lot of beautiful things that we did. I think I missed their good mornings and goodbyes every day. Last June 2023, I started my new job as an office staff in Cebu. I enjoyed my stay there and learned new things. I decided to apply as an au pair. I also wanted to learn new things including culture , traditions, and understand every aspect of diversity. I dreamed of travelling places around the world. When I learned about au pair, I tried to apply online. Even if there’s no assurance if I will be selected I’m still hoping I that I will be given a chance. I believed that this is the chance that I’m waiting for. I think this is too long already, may the Almighty Father blessed your family. Hoping to see you soon.
