JANINE, 24 ÅR

First of all, I hope you're having a great day. The time is 20:54, Philippine time. 16 of February 2024. Never in my wildest dream of becoming an Au pair, if I'm being honest. Simply because I don't know what an Au pair is. But, for some reason, I always saw posts from people, sharing their experience as an Au pair. And I was like, let me go ahead and check this out. Upon my journey of knowing what an au pair do, I thought to myself, this is exactly what I want to do. A quick introductory of myself. My name is Janine Saragena, 24 years of age, living in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, Philippines. I am single. No child/children and never been married. I finished college last July 2022 taking up Bachelor of Arts in Filipino. After I graduated, I worked in a call center. Working as a customer Service Representative and Au pair are two different things but they have same denominator: helping and assisting people is what make them less different. After working there, I realize that working in an office is something that I don't really like. I'm a kind of person who wanted a physical contact when helping a person. Which is why, rather than pursuing my career first, I chose to help my sister in raising her kid. As she and her husband are working, I took the initiative of looking after my niece. And I could've been any happier when I said yes. I enjoy a lot when taking care of kids, in taking care the house, helping out other chores, and everything. That is why, after months of researching, I decided to take an opportunity to become an Au pair. Other than taking care of the kids, and helping with the household chores, I thinks it'd be cool to learn new culture and language. For sure, it'd be hard as I have never experienced of being an Au pair but there's always a room for improvement and I'm always, always willing to learn new things. You don't need to worry about me as I can do everything whatever you ask for. I'm a Filipina and I am someone who is willing to learn and explore things. Thank you so much.
