JESSA, 24 ÅR

Dear Host Family, Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I am already very excited about getting to know you. But first, I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Jessa Nagal. I am 24 years old. I am currently living in the Philippines. Let me share with you my land. I was born and raised in the Philippines, particularly in Bayacabac, Maribojoc, Bohol, I grew up in this peaceful community with plenty of trees and beautiful scenery. I lived with my parents and two siblings. We are five in the family, and I am the middle child. In June 2022, I finished my college degree from Bohol Island State University-Calape Campus with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology majoring in Food Technology. I would describe myself as compassionate, reliable, responsible, optimistic, and open-minded. I am interested in getting to know new countries, cultures, and people. My friends often described me as a good listener and a caring, respectful, and dependable person. At the moment, I work as a cook/barista I enjoy this job very much because I am able to bond with many of my customers. I am also a volunteer at our church. I go to different communities to offer my services in tree nurturing (which includes mangrove planting), coastal and roadside clean-up, among others. Really, I am an active person who is passionate about helping others. Since I was 11 years old, I have loved to do babysitting. I loved to take care of the kids, play with them, and help them with their homework. In our humble home, I have my cousin's kids, and I sometimes take care of them when my cousin goes to work. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around; I can’t imagine a life without them. The reason why I want to become your next Au Pair is because I love kids and I enjoy being around them. Though it won't always be play and fun, I'm ready and well aware of the responsibility given to me. My compassionate and optimistic personality will help me deal with more challenging situations, such as when the kids are sleepy or refuse to listen to me. Apart from loving kids, I also want to get to know the way of life of various people as well as their unique cultures. I can't wait to hear all about you and your children. I am available anytime.
