MARC THOM, 24 ÅR

My name is Marc. I was born and raised in Masbate, Philippines. Currently residing in Cebu City. Interacting with people and helping other people, even in simple ways, is what inspires and motivates me. As the firstborn child and grandchild. I stood up to be a brother to my sister and cousins, showing my love and care for them. I got the chance to feed them, play with them, and take good care of them. Our lives are very simple; we are taught to be humble and grateful for what we have, and our life situation drives us to keep fighting for our dreams. When I decided to apply for a scholarship in Europe, my life underwent another shift. I graduated from Kobenhavns Professionshojskole under Pedagogical Work with People with Special Needs as an international student in Denmark as part of the Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement, along with doing part-time work in Denmark. The fascinating setting and the teachers' and students' inspiration have helped me grow intellectually and emotionally.
