EMMA, 27 ÅR

Dear Family
My name is Emma. I am 23 years old and I currently live i Copenhagen, Denmark. I have for the past couple of years been working in the retail business. For some time now, I have been wanting to do something more exiting with my life. Such as living in a different country, to learn from a different culture and in the meantime help out a nice family with their everyday life. This is why I have a great desire to become an au pair.

I grew up in a bilingual home and therefore it comes natural to me, to communicate i different languages.
I have taken french lessons in primary school and in high school, so I speak an intermediate level of french. I know that leaning a language does not come from sitting in a classroom, but by living and being immersed in the culture.
My interest in language is related to the fact, that I love to travel. This has enabled me to create new relationships, be outgoing and joyful and to respect different cultures. I have had a couple of long lasting trips, so I am used to being away from my home country and have no problem with traveling anywhere in the world.
I am a responsible, caring and humble person, who enjoys the outdoors and being active. I love to cook and try out new recipes.
Being creative is one of my passions and I would love to bring this with me to my potential host family.
And of course one of the things I love the most on a rainy day, is a good movie night!

I would like to work as an au pair because I love being around kids. Their energy and great imagination can put you in such a good mood and can lift anyones spirits.
Being in France, is just a big plus in my book, as I see it as a good chance to improve my french skills.
I believe in letting the kids be independent and find their own path. But to still be a good role model who inspires and encourages - kind of like a big sister would.
