GABRIELA, 31 ÅR

Dear Host Family,
My name is Gabriela Oliveira, I'm 27 years old and I graduated in Architecture and Urbanism in December 2019 and I decided it's time to make an exchange and learn a new culture to grow as a person and learn new cultures and know more about the world. I believe that the Au Pair program is ideal in my life at this time because it will allow me to participate in the routine of a family and discover new customs and ways of thinking. I know that day to day is hard work and routine, but just as you are, I’m willing to adapt and make that relationship works, in addition the smile of a child makes it all worth it. I am responsible, organized, mature, patient and flexible, if we are compatible I will be ready to be your Au Pair from the end of December. I was born in a city in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, where there is an architectural ensemble that is humanity's cultural heritage, and from here my passion for architecture, history and urbanism was born. We are a Family of four, my mother, my father , my sister is a newly formed pharmacist and she is 22 years old and our lovely little dog D’Artagnan. In 2014 my sister and I moved to a bigger city , to attend university and try a better life in a city with more opportunities. Since then I've been doing all the housework with my sister, driving at the high way to go back to university and working in an architecture office that does small renovations and projects. In my spare time I like traveling, hiking outdoors, listening to music, netflix, visiting museums (I love art) and getting involved in arts and crafts projects, I like to think myself a very creative person. I'm very quiet, respectful and independent person and don’t smoke. I love to learn new stuff and I learn quickly. I have already had an abroad experience living 6 weeks in Toronto, Canada, studying English and living with a host family. This year I spent 5 weeks traveling with my sister in Italy, Switzerland and France. I don’t speak English fluently but I believe that with the family day by day and practicing every day we will not have communication problems. I really like children and I have informal experiences with caring children since I have grown up in a big family, I take care of my cousins, I have a lot of contact with children and I love being surrounded by them.
