ARANTZA, 21 ÅR

Dear future Host Family: My name is Canteros, Arantza María but everyone calls me Ara. I’m 18 years old and I’m from Corrientes, a small city in Argentina. I live with my mother, her name is María Belen and with my brother his called Juan Segundo. My family is bigger, but not everyone lives in the same house, I have two sisters, Belen of 30 years old, Maria Silvia of 32 years old and two brothers, Juan Segundo of 21 years old and Facundo of 26 years old. I have more than twenty cousins, also I have five nephews and seven nieces, that they are a child of my cousins. I graduated from high school last year at Instituto Monseñor Roubineau; I obtained a diploma oriented in Social Sciences. I study English since I have five years old, but the English learned was very basic, for why is want to learn more and I feel the Au Pair program is the great for me. I also studied Italian for two years. Since I was very young, I like to take care of children, I have a nephew who was born when I was 12 and since he was 3 months old, I take care of him alone for hours or even days. I love children, I do not get tired of them, and I also love cooking Between my hobbies and the things that I like to do the most are Go to the beach because this give me a state of peace and relax. I like to go to the beach to walk with my friends, sometimes to read a book, or to have meetings whit my cousins. I love reading romantic and fantasy novels, also poetry and philosophy, I like do writings too. In each of my trips I always carry a book with me to read. In the same way, I also enjoy the adrenaline. I love doing sports and going the gym. I like to do figure skating, running, and cycling. I like to enjoy the outdoors, but also like go out with my friends. Two years ago I organized a massive collection of donations, where we accepted school supplies, money, clothing, non-perishable food, etc. to make a snack in a parish that was in a very humble neighborhood, with permission from the school and after gathering everything necessary We were able to spend a whole day with the boys, make them a good snack and give them everything that we had gathered for them. That was an experience that marked me since not every day one faces those situations where children as young 4 years old are walking alone and when one simply smiles they run to give you a hug and took your hand to follow you. I’m applying to the AuPair program because I want to learn the American culture and improve my English. I want to feel the thrill of living abroad and am able to learn the English language with native speakers, exchanging cultural experiences with them, I would also love to have the experience of being part of a family with a totally different culture and to be able to teach them that I can be the older sister they are looking for because if they choose me I promise to give absolutely everything of myself so as not to disappoint them and above all I promise to take care of your children with much love.
