AUDREY, 23 ÅR

Hello! My name is Audrey Gilbert, I recently graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with an art degree, and where I played NCAA volleyball. In high school I graduated as valedictorian in a class of 400 students. I'm currently pursuing my art career, and would love to expand my cultural knowledge outside of San Francisco, CA where I've lived my whole life! I make every place I walk into a bright space, and would love to bring some of my excitement for life to your family. I haven't au paired before, but I have worked in many child and teen facing roles. I have been a volleyball coach for the last 5 years for children and adolescence ages 5-17. I have a vast knowledge of effective communication strategies for each age range, and how to deal with interpersonal and personal conflict. Along with coaching I have tutored kids with learning disabilities. In this role I had to quickly learn my student's learning style, and adapt to communicating in a way to optimize the individual's learning needs. I am an artist who works with many craft forms. I create prints, drawings, sculptures, and silver jewelry, and along with this, I knit, crochet, and weave. I have played upright and electric bass for over a decade, and love music! I also love to run, hike, bike, and play every sport. I would love to read with your child, make art, and play outside to get out all their energy. After I Au Pair I would love to find a creative job outside of the United States, and I think this is a perfect stepping stone to experience new cultures!
