Hey Dear au pair!
We are a family of 4: Alba (4 years), Birk (nearly 3 years), Bo (dad, 33 years) and Maria (mom, 30 years). We are looking for a new au pair, we are on our way to finish the contract with the first au pair we had. She is from Hungary and stayed for 2 years, which we all enjoyed. Now she will start study in Denmark.
We are probably not the typically Danish family. We love to share life with more people - that is the reason we are living in a Christian community, where we often eat and hang out with the neighbors. Of course we also have friends outside the community we like to spend time with. As you can read we are Christians, so you need to accept this part of our lives – it does not mean that you need to be a Christian yourself.
Mom is a doctor, recently started working in the kids psychiatry in Århus. In her free time she loves to have a lot of projects with the house, and creative projects, to see her friends, and to cook.
Dad studied physics at the university, and is teaching 16-20 years olds math and physics at the high school. He likes board games, roleplaying games and to drink a beer or a cup of tea with neighbors.
Birk loves everything with wheels on, especially fire trucks and Fireman Sam. He acts a bit like a baby at the time, maybe because we just moved. (We moved from Esbjerg 1st of June.)
Alba is a real princess, sometimes with her own opinions, as normal for the age. She loves dresses, baking, facepaint, and nailpolish.
Both Birk and Alba are normally very tired after kindergarten, so they need to sit and relax with iPad/TV when they are coming home. If they are not tired, they both enjoy painting, drawing, playing with play-doh or play with the other kids from the community.
Hanging out with our neighbors in the community is also an important part of our lives. Our last au pair found one neighbor she enjoyed hanging out with often in her spare time.
We are looking for an au pair who wants to be a part of the family, to help us with taking care of the house, and deliver and pick up the kids as described in the other document. We expect you to be responsible, stable and psychologically robust.
