HOPE, 20 JAHRE

Dear Host Family,

It is with great pleasure that I write this message to my future Host Family. I am Hope Anesu Tholanah, a girl aged 19 years old, residing in Zimbabwe from birth till now. I would describe myself as a very kind, loving, and cheerful person with a positive spirit. I am the youngest of three sisters. For me, the safety, health, and happiness of children are the most important. I am very passionate about looking after kids and I am very diligent, patient, and extra cautious because I know that by trusting me with your children, I must not disappoint. In my spare time I love to go for walks, read a book, and bake. I currently hold an A2 certificate in German. After my Au Pair year, I would love to study IT as I am very passionate about technology as well.

I would love to become your next Au Pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and helping them grow. I gained childcare experience through looking after my nephew, my sister’s son, who has been living with us since birth and is now 6 years old. I help him with his homework, do arts and crafts, and we go on walks together and also go swimming. I also volunteered at church. While dropping off my nephew for church practice, I usually stay to assist the teacher with coordinating play, reading Bible stories, and reading books for the children. I know that being an Au Pair is not only about playing with the children. I will also help with educational things like homework, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. I believe children should not always be glued to technology or the TV. They need movement, fresh air, and time in nature, so I like to go on walks, swim, and play outside with them.

In addition to my childcare experience, I have strong communication skills and I am very eager to learn about Austrian culture. I hold an B1 German goethe certificate and this Au Pair program would be a great opportunity to improve my language skills and learn more about life in Germany. I do not only want to be an Au Pair, but also become a member of your family and a big sister to your children. I am patient, tolerant, and ready to listen to you and follow your guidance. Hopefully together we can help each other along the way. I promise to adapt to new tasks and the daily routine quickly and to give you my utmost respect in your home.
