PHYLLIS, 28 JAHRE

Hallo!

My full name is Phyllis Laverne S. Manubay. To make things short, I am called Vern or Phyllis. I am 147cm tall or should I say short? Anyway, I may be short but I have the biggest heart. 

I grew up in SOS kinderdorf. My biological mother took me to SOS kinderdorf when I was 1 and 4 months old in the year 1997 with my 2 brothers. I stayed in the institution for 22 years of my life. Now I am 23 years old and is currently here in Europe to fight for my dreams! 

Growing up in the institution gave me the opportunity to grow with other children that has similar story as mine. At the same time I was used to having a big family and it includes healthy bouncing babies running around. When I was 16 years old, there was this special little boy that was sent in the institution as well. He was 6 months old and he is called Dexter. I had the chance to look after him until he was 4 years old. It was challenging but seeing him grew up into a happy kid is very fulfilling. Now he is turning 8 years old.

I had the chance as well to have an exchange program in Japan for a month. Meeting people with different culture as mine is such a very remarkable experience and that is why I want to do it again. Now with Au Pair.

I am a person who appreciates art. I love dancing and singing. I also enjoy cooking especially my country's dishes. I find it rewarding if I see people enjoying the food that I cooked.

I also enjoy to be around with kids because they are I believe that there are also many things to learn from them. It does challenge my patience and creativity and that is why it excites me more to be with them!
