I’m an open-minded, free-spirited and independent person. I enjoy keeping myself and my surroundings neat and tidy, but I still don’t mind getting my hands dirty and will gladly play outside with the children. I see the best in people and am quick to empathize. I easily follow and respect customs, practices and rules. Due to my earlier work at a preschool I am used to rising early on weekdays and sometimes staying late into the evenings for business functions. Caring for children fulfills me in ways I can’t even describe, they bring an endless amount of delight and laughter in my life. I have always wanted to work with children and kids are fond of me. I wish to make a difference in a child’s life, even if it’s small. I have mostly worked with large groups of children, but for the past two years I've felt like I could make more of a difference for a smaller group of children or an individual one. So I chose to Au pair. Even though I could also Au pair nearby, I would prefer to travel, see new places, experience different things and meet new people. I would like to see my host family as a second family, their home as a second home and be a part of their experiences and accomplishments. I enjoy baking (even though I am not good at it) and reading in my spare time, especially English novels.
