RACHELLE, 28 JAHRE

Mabuhay future host family! I'm Rachelle, 25 years old currently residing in Manila, Philippines. You can call me Joy since it's the nickname I use when I'm with my family at home :) I'll share a few things about myself, why I want to be an Au Pair and why you should host me as your family's new Au Pair :) My hobbies include reading novel and poetry books, dancing, playing the ukelele AND listening to music. These are also the activities that I also like doing with my nieces as I believe that these are great ways to express themselves. I also love learning new languages since it's a way to exercise your brain aside from reading. One example of this is that I can confidently say that my Korean skills are at an elementary level which I plan on improving sometime in the future. But I'm also up for a challenge to learn a new language from a beginner level.

Not only that, I also like to familiarize myself with the social issues happening in my country and also around the world by watching debates and reading news articles.

I believe I have a strong foundation when it comes to taking care of kids because I used and still am baby sitting my nieces from the moment they were born. I'm able to understand their behavior and react calmly and rationally when things go south. Other than that, I used to work as an ESL teacher for non-native speakers for both young and adult students.

I want to be an Au Pair because I want to learn the culture, language and traditions of the country through the local household. I believe that this will be a very hands on and eye opening experience rather than just exploring a place through a tourist's eyes.

You should host me as your Au Pair because I believe that I possess all the criteria that you're looking. I can look after your kid/kids while having fun, cook, do light housework and make decisions that'll benefit the household. I am responsible, trustworthy and can easily adapt to changes. Although of course I know that it will take time for me to settle in, I hope that you'll be patient with me as I become a trustworthy and diligent Au Pair for you.
