Dear Host Family,

Hi! I am Sheryl. I am 27 years of age. I am a high school graduate. My father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife. I have three sisters and two brothers. I am the youngest child among my siblings. I am courteous, quick learner, responsible and nice person with good manners and right conduct. My hobbies are listening to good music, reading a story book that has moral lessons and playing chess.

I worked as a Domestic Helper in Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from August 15, 2015-April 22, 2019. My male employer is Sir Saeed- He is a manager and my female employer is Ma’am Atheeja- She is a housewife. They have five children: Hamed is 18 years old boy, Khalid is 14 years old boy, Hamood is 12 years old boy, Reem is 10 years old girl and Aysha is 8 years old girl. My salary per month is 1,600 Dirham. I work from 6am to 10pm daily. I have day off every first Friday of the month. My tasks in my work are cleaning the sleeping rooms, sala, play room, kitchen and comfort rooms, vacuuming the carpet, wiping the windows, changing curtains, setting the bed, assist in cooking, prepare the plates, washing the dishes, wash clothes using washing machine, dry clothes using dryer and ironing. I took care of Reem and Aysha and also look after Hamed, Khalid and Hamood, I give them food to eat, clothes to wear, towel to use when they are taking a shower, we ride their car with their own driver when we are heading to their school and when they have to go home from school, play with them, if the girls need anything, I am giving it to them and I also accompany the girls when they have outdoor activities and when they are going outside like going to the mall.

I want to be an aupair because I want to utilize all of my learnings in UAE there in Europe. I am excited to discover a new country, meet new people and know their way of living. It is also my chance to study another new language and have idea of a new culture as well. And the most important reason is to have the privilege to be part of a host family and be their aupair and take part in their everyday household duties and caring for their kids.
