Hi dear future family. I am excited to be out of my comfort zone and begin this journey of becoming an au pair. I hope i could meet an amazing host family to learn their culture, language and tradition. And to share mine with you as well. My name's Rica 24 years old from Philippines took up Hospitality Management in college. Although my college program has nothing much to do with kids but i believe there's a big factor of me that can really help you with your kids and the household because of my experiences throughout my life. I grew up in a well mannered, humble Christian family in a province. Although i don't really have an experienced of being an au pair yet, growing up i've experienced a lot about family and life and i think that would be enough for me to be chosen. Why? I have a lot of experience with kids especially with my youngest sibling, i got to experienced to take care of him since he was a toddler while i was in my middle school stage, needed to help my mother with him since she was busy with her job. I also experienced babysitting some of my cousins, as well as helping them with their homework and tutoring them before their exams. I was the eldest of all that's why i think it was also part of my responsibility to help them with schoolworks while parents were busy. When i got into college, i lived with my aunt in a city and that's where i also experienced to take care of elderly mom who has alzheimer's and also got to help my aunt with her 2 kids to help out sometimes with their assignment/project. I also tried my best to help out my aunt at home from cooking to household chores. And because of all that experiences i've encountered i consider myself as a very patient person, reliable, trustworthy and passionate about taking care of people who needs help and that's when i realized that my passion is on helping people who needs attention as well as love. This is why i want to join this program to be able to let myself broaden my horizon, help other people this way to learn from them and seek adventure in other part of this world.
