I am Patricia, 24 years old and I am interested to be a part of your family as an Au Pair. I currently work as an accountant here in the Philippines, but interested in being an Au Pair because I want to immerse in a different culture and language. I believe leaving my comfort zone and going to another country will be a great experience for me and will help build my character. I have a good child care experience from looking after my brother who has special needs ever since I was a kid. He is now a 17 with a mental age of 3 years old. He has Global Developmental Delay and epilepsy. I've grown into a very patient, caring and cautious person from taking care of him. I have to administer his day and night maintenance for epilepsy. I have to be very watchful and cautious in case he gets a seizure episode. I have to entertain him, play with him and be patient talking to him because he is really a talkative child for someone who has speech problems. I have to manage his tantrums and take care of him when he gets sick. I also give him baths and put him to bed. Aside from looking after the children at home, I can also help out in their school tasks, and would love to bring them to their out of school activities such as sports or art classes. I'd also do my fair share in helping in the chores and cleaning. May I kindly know your expectations and more comprehensive list of responsibilities for the au pair? Can you please also tell me more about the children-- medical history, allergies or food intolerance, about their school, out of school activities, their interests and personalities.
