Dear Future Family,

Good day!

I am Ellen currently an Aupair here in Oslo Norway. My contract will end this 15th of January 2021. It is an honor to write for you. The family that I am right now is a family of five with three beautiful girls ages 7, 5 and 2. I love being with kids. I can say that it is one of my major abilities that I am good with kids. A part also of baby sitting I have an everyday schedule of household chores. I do all the cleaning, laundry, folding clothes, ironing, a little in cooking and more tidying. I also pick up the girls from school and barnehagen, play with them and during weekends because my day off falls on Thursday so every weekend it is not fixed though and it depends on my hosts schedule so I sort of adjust most of the time but that is totally okay because flexibility is very important and it is a give and take relationship. During the weekends I feed them, play with them, walk with them and think of something that makes them happy and occupied. I am flexible in so many ways. I am easy to talk with because I am sociable, friendly, funny and smart too. I have good communication skills.
The reason why I become an au pair in Norway is because it has always been my dream to go to Europe. I want to fulfill my European dream and I heard a lot of good things in Norway. I have been told by my uncle and other friends who are already here. When I first landed in Norway it was so surreal I never thought a simple girl like me could go visit, explore and stay for 2 years in Norway. I was so fond of four seasons. You know I lived my 26 years in a tropical country so having to experience snow and cold weather is a dream come true. Becoming an Au pair is my ticket to know European culture more and exercise cultural exchange. Here I am living my dream.

In the Philippines before I left, my work was a CSP, a Customer Service Professional in Manulife, an Insurance Financial Institution based in Canada in a BPO industry. We take calls catering their medical needs and their insurance coverage. Prior to that I have been working in another BPO company so that's why I can say that my English is good. For the information I graduated Business Administration major in Financial Management. I am the second child of the family. I have 3 siblings all graduated in college and have work. I am very close to my family, they are my lightbringer. It has never been easy being away from them but I always think of them as my inspiration, that there is nothing I can not do for them.

Given the chance that you will consider me during my spare time I would like to go into a language course that is something I wanna do. I love exploring and learning at the same time. I am a fast learner.

In my current family I can say that my experience is good. I am always fond of being with kids. My host mom says that I am really good with kids. They are very generous. But you know it's not really perfect but what is very important is how they treated a person. They have been with many nannies and I am their third Aupair. I am not perfect as an Aupair also, I have shortcomings and many flaws but they understood that and let me grow on my own. I have become more independent than I never thought I could be. It has been a great journey of my first stay here. They helped me a lot. My journey as an Au pair has been very fun and meaningful that I would not trade off anything else in this world.
