My name is Andrea Nicole L. Orosco and I am 25 years old, single. I am from Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines. Currently I am au pair in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I graduated Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship at Bicol University (2017, Philippines) and I am a Caregiving National Certificate II Holder from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). I am also a Certified First Aider from Philippine Red Cross; I had undergone Standard First Aid and Basic Life / Support; CPR with AED for Healthcare Providers Training Course and basic swimming lesson. I came from a family of 5; my parents named Margie (53) and Roberto (52). I have 1 brother and 1 sister, my younger brother Ralph Robert, is 17 years old and a Senior High School Student and my youngest sister Lindsay, is 13 years old and is in her second year of secondary school in the Philippines. In my spare time I love to play badminton, painting, drawing and ATV Riding. I also love riding a bicycle, interacting with different people, doing outdoor activities and spending time with children and with my family and friends. When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children both in formal and informal contexts. I had an experience as a caregiver which serves orphaned, neglected, abused and handicapped children in an institution in the Philippines, children aged between newborn to 12 years old. I organized for them and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities: we sang, danced, played games, role played, drew, painted, and narrated stories. I also assisted them in their daily living and gave the proper care to each and every one and to their health related concerns. It gives me fulfillment to serve those children who need love and affection. I have helped my parents look after my brother and sister since birth. I was nevertheless much more involved in caring for them on a daily basis. I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children. I believe older siblings play an important role in the lives of their younger siblings. Like parents, older brothers and sisters act as role models and teachers, helping their younger siblings learn about the world. When me and my friends have an extra amount of money we are conducting a feeding program and gift giving to the youth and school children in public schools in our province. Seeing the children happy and enjoying, gives us fulfillment. Also since July 2018 up to July 2020 I am a private caregiver under child care here in the Philippines, assisting with the personal care of the children of my employer, playing with the kids and engaging in sports and learning activities. I do housekeeping and laundry. I provide constant companionship and general supervision. Gives emotional support; being a stable companion in all matters personal health-related and emotional. Currently I am in Amsterdam, Netherlands as au pair. I took care of 6 & 8 years old girls. I am also tidying and cleaning the house, cooking dinner, washing and folding their clothes, changing bedsheets and other household chores. Engaging in my host family daily activity, picking the kids at school, preparing the dinner table, playing with them and assisting them in their after school activities. I would love to your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don't want to listen to me. It will give me an opportunity to work with children, have a hand in their upbringing and watch them grow. For me this can be and is a very rewarding process. Also, Au pairing gives me the opportunity to become part of a community, to explore more places during time off and meeting new sets of friends and also an opportunity for a cultural exchange, which gives me as au pair an opportunity to improve my language skills. I expect that in the first couple of days I will be exhausted at night because I guess taking care of children the whole time can be tiring. But I am sure that I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help for you. Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow your house rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things. I describe myself as a flexible person, hardworking, easy to learn, I can be able to adjust myself to a new place, a new working place and new people easily. I am also reliable, trustworthy, and able to discipline the child according to the family's preferred parenting style. I ensure to be a person the host feels entirely comfortable leaving their most precious assets with. I am kind, nurturing, active, creative, and can interact well with the children of all ages. It is neither an easy career nor one that is good for everyone but for me I describe it as the most rewarding work I've ever done!
