WILFREDA, 27 JAHRE

Hi, I'm Wilfreda, 24 years of age. I'm currently living in Singapore and working as all around helper. I work full-time everyday and more than regular working hours. I must honestly admit this is a total tough start for a young people and starter like me. I'm a fresh graduate and looking for opportunity to explore, go out from my comfort zone so I decided to accept the job offer where I currently work. But it's hard as I thought, as young as my age - I want to work, explore, learn and socially active which is hardly to do with my schedule.
Before I applied here, I've heard a lot about au pair from my sister as she is an au pair in Norway and been also au pair in Denmark before. It's quite interesting. She has a nice story with all her experiences as au pair. I've seen her grew up a lot in many ways and she is happy with it. She encourages me to try it, but I already have this job offer which I thought might be also good and it's within Asia, close to my home country. But I realized this is not the one I'm looking for. So I came to a decision to end my contract here soon and try this au pair program.

Childcare and household chores is not new to me. I always do housework whenever I'm at home and considering my current job, I'm pretty sure I can do the au pair job. I used to do part time in babysitting and help in others house when I was still studying. I also have many nephews and nieces and young cousins that I've taken care before.

When I've been accepted in a family as au pair, I want to have work and life balance. I wanted to be an au pair because as to my knowledge it's cultural program that allows young people to explore other's culture, country, languages and the opportunity to travel. As I'm doing my part as au pair with the family, I also want to experience things I haven't experience before, like skiing and other things that can be done in a four seasons country.
I want to make this experience to be shared in the future :-)
