Dear family,

​Good day!

I am Airah Camille Macarayan from Gensan, Philippines. I want to be an au pair because of my experience and I would like to share it to my host family. I think I am independent to work because I learned to live my own life without the support of my parents. Losing my mom in the young age thought me to become independent which I think I can help my host family by taking care of them as my second family. I am excited to learn new culture and adopt it for me to easily be part of their family. My host family can expect me as a flexible individual who can do any task assigned. I am a hard working person, cheerful, loving person especially to children. I am also a pet lover, something excites me seeing any pets from everywhere. I am very much willing to help to anything that my host family would ask me to do.

I love children maybe because of my educational attainment. I am a graduate of Bachelors in secondary education. I have an experience on handling children in school and outside school. I have tried having community service wherein we help children to read and write. Those simple things in helping them makes my heart overjoyed. Cooking is my hobby. I am inclined with a family who loves how to cook, my grandmother owned a little restaurant before and I help her cook because according to her every woman should learn how to cook for their husband and children. Also, I love plants. Sometimes having living things around gives you the fresh environment and I care about Mother Nature. Pets like dogs is also my happiness whenever I saw dog videos on social media whether they are cute or sad I always found myself cry and I don’t know why. Well, maybe because I love having friends with animals and maybe the connection with them has something to do with it. I am well exposed in customer service job since my current job as a banker makes me to interact with different kinds of nationality. It is my job to makes them satisfied with my service and I believe I can also give my host family a complete satisfaction with my job as an au pair.

My hobbies are cooking, planting and do household chores like organizing things inside the house, manually washing clothes, washing dishes and cleaning the house. That mostly the things I do during my day off. I am very particular to dirty environment since that’s what I hate the most. I love seeing a clean environment most especially the things inside the house.

I already had a childcare experienced. My first childcare was my Goddaughter her dad needs to go back to state to work since her mom is the only person who can took care of her I volunteer to be her helper in their house during that time I learn how to change diaper, wash newborn clothes, changing her clothes, even making her stop crying and also letting them sleep on my shoulder. Though taking care of an infant is not easily but the fact that you give that attachment to them makes me feel so happy. When her mother is busy taking care of her I do initiative to cook food in order for her to eat so she could give the baby the some nutrients to my Goddaughter since she did breastfeeding. Now she is already two years old and the attachment we had before makes us super close.
