Dear Host Family,

I’m very excited about getting to know you, but firstly I want to introduce myself to you and hopefully to make your decision easier….

I’m Jennylyn but you can call me Jenny for short. I’m 23 years old and I live in Aritao, a small town of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines with my mother , youngest brother and my nephew. I was 14 when my father past away. Last April 2011, I finished my degree course Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with the financial support of my mother and aunt, younger sister of my father who is OFW at France. I was in high school when I’m dreaming going abroad but now with your help, this dream could be come true. I’m happy that my family supporting me about this plan going abroad as au pair because they knew that there’s a lot of opportunities waiting for me there. I would describe myself as caring, loving, friendly, trustworthy, helpful and positive girl. I’m a person with a strong-will and determination. In my spare time, I love listening any kind of music, watching movies, surfing in internet and make some drawing. I also love to sing and dance.

The reason why I want to be an au pair is to gather valuable memories living with a new family in a foreign country, to see your children grow and learn, meeting new people and new friend and experience the way of life of different culture. It would be great experience for me to share my life with your family become more independent and have a self-confident and spending time with you and your kids. Especially to earned money so that I can also help my family.

Experience working with children:
When I was about 12 years old, I have looked my little nephew. He was 8 months old when my sister left him because she was working in manila. When my father and mother are busy I’m the one to take care of him. Now he is already 14 years living with us. Last year, vacation day. My aunt asked me to look for her two kids at the age of 13 and 9 because her housemaid is not around so I’m the one to take care for them. The eldest is in summer class that time. I always send him to the terminal to ride to go to his school. And when his class is already finished, I made a call or text to him to know if he is now in the terminal to fetch him. Sometimes I cooked for them. In my spare time, I also had to take good care for my little niece . She’s turning 3 this august.She is the daughter of my cousin. I looked her when my cousin is busy for the house hold or she’s out. We go to the lake which is only 5 minutes’ walk from our house. We often go to the park and play ground. We also go to the newest high way which is very near in our house. That high way is not yet open so we always go there to walk, run and play. I also company her when she wanted to watch because sometimes she was afraid but she like watching horror movies. And buy some snack. I also teach her to sing and dance.

I hope we can develop a good relationship and work and live together as a family. I’m looking forward to a great year with your family.
