FRANCES JOYCE, 31 JAHRE

Dear host family,
I’m Joyce, a 28-year-old Filipina who has a genuine love for children and kindhearted people overall. I am the eldest of four children and being the firstborn, I am a nurturing big sister. Even with my group of friends, I am the listener and secret-keeper. I value honesty, trust, and sincere relationships. My warm and sunny energy makes me get along well with people easily. I love singing, dancing, reading, going to art fairs and museums, training in mixed martial arts, and traveling. I am also active in animal welfare and volunteer work; I have very altruistic interests! Being a lover of art and self-expression, I have tattoos on my shoulder, arm, and back. I do not consider this a disadvantage; if anything, it will teach children to be more accepting of persons who have unconventional appearances and be able to look beyond what the eyes can see. I like cultivating diversity and inclusion whenever I can.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Development Communication to which social work is the main focus. Before au-pairing, I was a Human Resources practitioner. I did mentoring, training, and facilitation so my skillset will come in handy in the knowledge sharing with your family. I am a clear communicator and I utilize it to influence people to do good.

My current host family in The Netherlands is composed of four kids (ages 10, 9, 6, 3). My daily tasks are preparing breakfast and lunch boxes, tidying up the kitchen, folding clothes, and making dinner. I also iron clothes once a week. Of course, I look after the kids and engage in fun activities with them! The Dutch family is able to give a reference on how valuable I am as their au pair.
