ANGELICA, 29 JAHRE

Good day my future host family! Hi! I am Angelica Palma, 26 years old from Philippines. You can call me Anne for short. I graduated two year course of Information and Communication Technology. I am middle in three siblings; I have my eldest brother and younger sister. We grew up in a province area of Philippines, so we enjoyed a lot of our childhood days, like we used to enjoy weekend in a mountain hiking, biking and playing in house tree. We have a strong bond in our family. But at this time we are now only three in our home, because we are now an orphan, I was 19 years old when my mother died due to kidney failure that was November 28, 2013 and my father died last year May 11, 2017 due to heat stroke during in field work. After this tragic happened I and my brother needs to work hard for my younger sister’s education, we are not a rich family so our parents died without nothing left to us, only the good character and their words were left to us, their golden rules that until now still in my hearts. Year 2012 when I finished two years course in college and after that I look for a job to help my family, after my mother died I was the one who stand as a mother in our family, I am the one who cooked, wash our clothes, clean the house and all general things inside our house. I graduated in college as a working student, so I can say I am a strong and independent person.
When it comes about childcare experience I am a volunteer teacher in our church every Sunday, It includes of taking care of a child while their mother is inside the church listening in Preacher, It’s a three hours assistance every Sunday, I am the one who teach them to read Bible, singing, dancing, drawing and how to pray. And of course I have to the assist them to eat during feeding or snack time, make them comfortable that feels them they are just in the house. And also assist them to comfort room, wash their hands, and change the diapers and clothes whenever they are already look dirty due to some activities. I handled 2 years old up to 14 years old. I really love kids that’s why I never get tired assisting them. I have an experience also in taking care of a new born baby my bestfriend used to ask my help to look after her baby every night when shes gointlg to work, since shes working in a 24hrs convenient store. But during weekdays I’m working as Data Analyst in healthcare information provider here in Philippines.
The reasons why i want to be an au pair because i also want to experience the culture of other countries, it will help me in becoming the better me because it will really test how strong i am as a person because i will be away from my loved ones. Explore more places during time off and meeting new sets of friends. And I also want to impart the moral lesson and encouraging stories of my life that despite of having no parents anymore I can still stand and manage my life well. That I surrender everything to God. Don't worry about religion or beliefs i do respect your religion and beliefs, if in case were different.

I am just a beginner in driving a car, but im very well in driving motorcyle. I’m very excited to meet you my host family!
