Dear Host Family,

Good day!

My name is Joyce T. Cordoves and I would like to tell you something about myself. I am a Filipino, Single, 26 years old and living at Horsholm, Denmark. I am Graduated in Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM). I have a typical Filipino family. I have my parents, eldest brother and sister and me.

My mother, Herminia, is a housewife. She is nice, friendly and loves to talk and entertain other people (commonly our friends and relatives). Like her, I also likes to go out and talk with other people. My father, Nestor, is a retired seaman. In our family, I have two siblings and I am the youngest. My brother, Joleen, is 34 years old and my sister, Jessa, has turned 30.

My hobbies include swimming (as we are near the beach) and reading fiction stories every night. I also loves cooking and preparing nutritious foods. Sometimes, I am trying to prepare and cook something new. Also, I enjoy playing with children, especially with my host kids. When my host are not around, I am always entrusted to look after their children. It is not always easy to take care of children but it is a great experience to share some time with them. I need to have much patience.

Aside from taking care of young children, I was also doing different household chores (cooking meals, cleaning the house, washing the dishes, washing and ironing the clothes, and many more) during my younger years. I really wanted to be independent so I trained myself to know things that would help me grow as a person. And until now, I am trying my best to improve myself.

As I experienced being an Aupair, i learn to become strong and independent individual. Adjusting to their cultures and way of living. Meeting new friends and travel in different countries, and especially accepted by the family I been living during my 2 years in Denmark. i wanted to become Aupair again because i love to be with kids to learn and to explore more.
