HANNAH GRACE, 36 JAHRE

Hi Future Host Family! My name is Hannah, 27y.o from the Philippines. I am currently working as a computer operator at a local government unit but I wish to experience living at a foreign country and immerse myself in a different culture. This will only be possible if I get to be an Au Pair.

I have no professional but have extensive personal experience in childcare. At present, I am living with my mother, my elder sister and her 3 children (2 boys who are 12 y.o and 2y.o, and 1 girl she's 5 y.o). I help with the household chores, do groceries, and attend to the needs of the children whenever possible especially if their mother is not around. For example, taking a bath, eating, helping them with their homework, and attending school activities. I can also look for elderly. My father when he was still alive suffered a minor stroke which paralyzed his body. I was my mother's assistant in taking care of him. I also have 2 cousins with special needs where one of them has a Down Syndrome.

I am a person who can get along with people of various personalities. So hopefully, you'll give me a chance to give you assistance in looking after your own family. You will definitely not have problems with me. I am conservative, shy at first but very outgoing when I become comfortable with people. I am definitely well-mannered and having worked in different industries and people, I work as professional as I can be. I have also lived alone before which had helped me become more independent and responsible.

I like a lot of things and learning new ones such as language, food, geography, and sports. This is one of the main reasons why I want to be an au pair. Living with a family not my own in a country far from Philippines will help me understand cultural differences and similarities. Last August 9-19, 2015, I provided liaison services to 22 Slovenian Folk dancers who visited the Philippines for International festival with whom I have become friends with. I learned about their traditions and they taught me some Slovenian basic phrases. It was one of the best experiences I had. I am looking forward to the next cultural exchange I could get -- with you.
