To my future second family, I hope this letter finds everyone in your family well and in good health.My name is Carolyne and I am very excited for this opportunity because as i sit down to write this letter i find myself imagining the beautiful memories we could create together and the mutual growth we could all achieve with this experience. Am Carolyne Kung'u. I was born and raised in Nairobi here in Kenya. I was born on 1st September and am from a family of three kids where i am the first born. I live with my mum and younger sisters. I have grown in a very happy and kind family and am lucky my mum has installed quite good virtues in me and my sisters since we were young.In school i do hospitality and hotel management following my passion in cooking and culinary arts. I partly work with Ebenezer caterers and Colley Rose events. I am attentive ,bold, respectful, passionate,confident, highly motivated and detail oriented. I value transparency, honesty and good communication. I enjoy cooking, reading novels,learning new languages,going swimming,playing games,listening to music,watching movies and watching reality shows.In term of practicalities i am a trained first aider,i can drive and prepare some specific cuisines and would be more than delighted to learn more stuff from you. What sets me apart from the rest of the aupairs is my commitment and serious take on this beautiful journey.My passion for teaching kids new things,playing and spending quality time with them as a form of bonding.My culinary arts skills and ability to prepare certain meals and my interest to learn more recipes and my enthusiasm for exploring new cultures and languages. Spending time and creating meaningful memories with kids is one of the many ways to ensure your bond is strong and all of you have fun.One thing i enjoy is engaging in creative and educational activities like colour cards and such. Reading books is something that i really like to do with kids because it helps develop their interests in reading and it helps improve their listening skills. I take pride in helping the kids with their homework. It is so rewarding to see them grasp and learn new things.Cooking is also something that raises my spirits .Simple recipes with kids helps them in developing patience,learning measurements and enjoying their efforts too. I also introduce kids to the joy of music and dancing so that it can be a lively time you spend together. Overall, my goal as an aupair is to ensure that the children have a well-rounded,enjoyable and enriching experience under my care where they will not only have fun but also learn and grow. Being a firstborn in my society gives you a number of responsibilities and that has played a big role in me connecting with kids very fast.I have been sorrounded by kids as an elder sister and cousin in my family and i've learnt that patience with the kids,understanding their needs and loving them irregardless is a big role when you want to create a long-lasting relationship with kids. I've always been jovial and very open minded. I've always believed that children flourish best in environments filled with love,patience, care,good communication and consistency. My goal is to ensure that your children feel secure and happy while also being a friend and a guide.I also put alot of importance in discipline and boundaries and i would be more than willing to work closely with you to ensure we are on the same page on your parental approaches. I have quite a good reputation in babysiting around my home since i started babysitting at a very tender age back in my high school years. I baby sat my sisters, my cousins, nephew and my friend's kids and their recommendations. After highschool i joined college and i enrolled in a volunteer program to stay with the orphaned every once in a while and ensuring order in service on Sunday. I then started working in a school with kindergarten kids where i made sure they were neat, engaging during class, being kind to others and learning, encouraging them to express and create out of their young innocent brains. By integrating with your family am hoping to get a full understanding of your country's culture from an insiders perspective. I am self motivated and my long-term goal is to gain experience. I am always keen to up-skill myself learning new things whenever i get a chance. Aupair is giving me a chance to better my skills in raising kids, a chance to interact with different people with different cultures aside from mine.A chance to learn more languages and learn new ways of life and above all interact with beautiful kids and be a part of their lives as they grow to be responsible and kind adults.Apart from being an aupair in your family i will be a window into Kenyan cultures,preparing specific dishes,dances etc and hopefully make our worlds closer. I am not looking for a job but an opportunity and experience we could all benefit from. The safety of kids,host parents and the aupair is of utmost importance and that is why i decided to aupair. Just a chance to experience diverse cultures and teach my culture is something that excites me. Am quite jovial and a very happy person and that makes it very easy to live with me.
