Hi there! My name is Apiyo, I'm a 22 year old Kenyan lady who currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya. I am the last born child amongst seven siblings, my parents are both retired teachers. I am a qualified Nursing Assistant/ Caregiver for the elderly. I am capable of taking care of not only elderly people, but also children, people living with disabilities and people living with chronic illnesses. My grandparents lived with dementia and I was actively involved in taking care of them. The experience I had while taking care of them as an untrained caregiver motivated me to study caregiving so as to offer better care to someone else who needs it. I would like to be hosted by your family as it would grant me easy access to the care receiver; which fosters quality care. My experience as a student if nutrition and dietetics and also as a caregiver make me a competent and and skilled addition to your family. I would be of detrimental value to your household both nutritionally and in terms of health care.
