Dear family,

To get out of my comfort zone is something I need in my life, but I think it's also important to still have stability and the warmth of the family. So being an au pair is a balance in between, I believe I will get unforgettable memories through this.
I'm Melisa, 26 years old from indonesia. I'm calm, easy going and very patient with the kids, but I'm also a cheerful person in general. I also enjoy discussing and have meaningful conversation and quality time with the family if they can enjoy it too. I'm flexible but also like to make things well organized.

I'm currently in Amsterdam and taking care of a baby aged less than a year. Beside of that, in Indonesia I was working as a teacher in International Early Childhood Education Center for children aged 6months-6years old in big city called Bandung. So I've been trained well to handle babies, toddlers, and younger children. I also had a lot of teaching experience (math and accounting) for older kids when I was in university, so at least children's world is something I'm already familiar with and children's company is something I can enjoy.

I love reading, playing musical instruments, hiking, travelling, and also being an artsy-craftsy. I have my international driver’s license and I can do some cooking and some baking, and very open to try to cook new meals or even teach yoou how to cook some indonesian dishes if you are interested. :)

If I become your au pair, I absolutely will look after the children well, play and do indoor or outdoor activities, prepare their breakfast and snack, put them to bed and read them stories, change the diapers/clothes, etc, anything necessary for them. I will also do light house chores, I want you to feel relaxed and happy to have me around because the house clean and tidy.

I believe with my commitment towards my goal, my genuine passion for children, and to know and explore other cultures around the world, I can get good experience from this and be a compassionate and enthusiastic helping hand for you by taking care of your kids and sharing a new culture to your family.
I hope we can get along well, so it would feels like finding second home on other side of the world.
