Dear family.

My name is Sandra Oestergaard. I am almost 18 years old. In this letter you will find information about me, and why I want to work as an au pair. I am ready to start in August 2015.

I have a positive outlook on life and I am always happy. I like to take initiative in life. I am 17 years old. My birthday is the 12th November. I have lived in Denmark my entire life. This school year I am studying at a continuation school which specializes in sports. My favorite subjects are English and physical education and sports. The subjects I like the least are maths and physics. In a few years' time I want to train as a social worker.

I am a big sister, I have a sister who is 14 years old. In my family we have also got two children in foster care, a boy who is 5 and a girl who is almost 2. I am very good with children, but I like dogs as well - at home we have got two Finnish Lapphunds.

I love travelling. We have a flat in Turkey in a city outside Alanya called Mahmutlar. When I was 14 years old I went to Malta to study English for a week. When I am old enough I want to see the whole world. I love speaking English, but my written English could be better.

I love being together with my friends. When we are together we like shopping and going to cafés.

I like sport. I have been doing sport my entire life. Right now I swim a lot. I am a non smoker. I am not a very musical person but I enjoy playing the guitar.

I want to work as an au pair because I like children. I would like to spend 6 to 12 months in England in order to improve my English. Also, I would like to get to know new people and experience a different culture.
