MARIE, 25 JAHRE

Dear host family!
My name is Marie and I am 21 years old. I come from Denmark, and right now I am having a gap year from school and so far I have worked as a child care worker since October 2019 with children from 0-6 years old. I really enjoy spending time with kids, such as playing with them, laughing with them, taking care of them and doing things together with them.

As a person I am an extrovert and curious person. I like meeting new people and learn new things and would love to explore a new country and culture. I am a very happy and positive person, and I love traveling.

I care about my entourage and my friends are just a big part of my life as my family. I work hard for my dreams and I like to try new things.

I live in Denmark in Vejle with my boyfriend Thomas - we moved together in October 2019. I have two younger brothers, they are 16 years old now, so from home I've learned a lot about responsibilities because my parents are divorced. I love spending time with my family when I'm home. We like going on trips together and traveling (especially skiing!).

I graduated from high school in summer 2019 at Rosborg Gymnasium in Vejle. After I graduated I worked at Legoland for 3 months until I began my work at day care. When I get home I plan on studying graphic design. I have a really big interest in architecture and design.

I have worked at day care since October 2019 and I enjoy every day together with my coworkers and the children. I also have experience with kids from when I worked in Legoland where we spent a lot of time talking to the kids and playing with them.
I have experience with older kids (6+) too from when I worked in Legoland.

My first language is Danish. I can speak english, and a little german.

I'm an open person and it's always been a dream to live in a new country and learning the culture. It's a good opportunity for me to work with kids and experiencing a new culture.
I want to become an au pair because I like to spend time with kids, I love to travel and experience new cultures and making memories. I love the concept of living with a family. For me it's a more than just a job. It's experiencing a new culture, and getting to know a family and so on.

I think of myself as a fun, happy and positive girl, but also very responsible and patient. I will help with the house-cleaning, I can make dinner, and I can also help with homework and taking the kids for a trip. I hope we can go to trips together and create amazing memories. :)
