SOFIA, 20 JAHRE

Hello, my name is Sofia and I am a young woman of 19 years old currently living in Aalborg, Denmark. I am a graduate in the summer and therefore looking for a job as an Au Pair before hopefully going to university next year. I love spending time with children, so while nannying the neighborhood children aged 2-13 along with my own younger brother and sister, I know how to take care of children and the assignments which come with that, along with keeping them happy and maintained. I have a lot of work experience especially in the retail industry since I’ve worked in H&M for more than a year, and before that in a supermarket where I was appreciated for my work effort, also I have helped in various businesses. This has given me a lot of time to help customers, which includes understanding other people’s needs and guiding them. I have very good social skills but I am also a determined, helpful and high achieving, hard-working student who loves to learn new things and be active. Other than that I have always been good at learning new languages and am fluent in English and speak good German. Being a big sister and coming from a big family, I love spending time with the people closest to me and going on walks, cooking, baking, doing fun activities such as museum and gallery visits, going to cafes and just spending time together. I therefore easily blend into new routines and adapt to every environment I am facing, which is why cleaning and domestic charges are something I enjoy doing to help out. I have already moved out and am currently living by myself in a small apartment in a dorm. Being around so many people, in such a social place every day I get to have fun and spend time with a lot of new, interesting, and sweet people every day where we learn from each other and here we all help out with the cleaning, doing the dishes after eating together every day. The dorm consists of three floors and on each floor, we are 8 people who have to take care of the toilets, maintain the kitchen, and keep our apartments nice. Living an adult life as a young woman I get a lot more experience and helped to become more independent. I am an animal person and since I have grown up with pets around me my entire life from cats, to birds, to dogs I, therefore, know how to take care of them and would love if a host family had that too. In my free time, I like to do yoga, bake, go for runs, spending time with my friends and family while doing my job to live a good life in the big city. I imagine taking care of children between the age of 1-8 mainly, and since I have a driver's license I could pick up the children from school and other activities. I would be more than happy to take German classes to attend, and if the host family wants it I would love to share and influence them with my own danish culture. I would be very happy to join my host family and help them out where I can. My goal is to create a comfortable place for everyone, where I can connect with the children and learn about new cultures and get even more life experience. I hope to hear from you!
