RUTH, 21 JAHRE

I am from the east of Germany, Leipzig und getting 19 next august. I have two younger sisters, who are twins and are 2 years younger than me.
My mother is working in the controlling department in a midsized company which produces flavors and fragrances and my father is production manager in a chocolate factory.
At home I read a lot and I deal with linguistics because I am really interested in it. Also I play the piano, do a lot with my friends and go play badminton.

Six years have passed since I was in Denmark for the first time and I am absolutely enthusiastic about this wonderful country.
During the first time for me in Denmark I decided to go there someday, learn the beautiful language and get to know the country with its happy and kind people and of course the culture.
To be an Au-Pair in Denmark is my dream for 3 years now. I think it’s the right way for me to learn the language and get in contact with amazing people.
After I have finished my study, I would like to be a teacher in Denmark because the school system is so much better than its here in Germany.

Since my early childhood I grew up with the Christian faith and got in contact with many people.
Together with all the children from my church community I travelled a lot, in every fall we rehearsed a musical.
Since I was 15 I travelled as a childcare worker with the children, I learned a lot about how children think and how they act in different moods. I love it to spend time with all the different kids and see how we grow together in a short time.
Every year there were some new children but also every child I`ve known before. It felt like a big family that gets new members every year.
Also I visited workshops where I learned how to deal with children properly and how they feel and act in various kinds of groups.
For two years I was head boy in my school, we started projects and worked together to reach some goals for our own school.
It is so interesting to watch children grow and I would love to take part in children life, learn a lot together and collect many unforgettable moments.
