Hello family,

Nice to know you! Would you prefer a Chinese au pair? I am Dorothy from China. I am an university student major in history. I live in Nanjing now. It was one of the four ancient capitals in China. And it develops very fast at present, it is very close to Shanghai. So I feel it is interesting to learn history in Nanjing. It is a city fuse ancient and modern together. I really love this city.

I am a patient, warm-hearted and independent girl. I use my free time to be a volunteer after I graduated from high school. I helped to take care of kids in the kindergarten; I taught kids history and Chinese in primary school; I guide patients in the hospital and so on. I feel cheerful when I could offer my help to others. I like writing calligraphy, doing handcraft, singing, riding, traveling and especially cooking. I am willing to cook Chinese food for your family and learn how to make European dishes.

I grew up in a big family, I have an elder sister(24-year old) and a younger brother(15-year old). My family also live close to my three younger cousins’ home (all boys). We six kids grew up together, as a sister, I took the responsibility of taking care of them.

The reason I want to be an au pair is that I’m a big fan of traveling and I’m eager to experience a different lifestyle, learn a new language and make new friends. Besides, I really enjoy accompany with kids. I have lots of experience about taking care of kids and teaching them. So I think I could be a good au pair and become your kids’ big sister. I’d like to share China’s 5000 years history with them and also teach them Chinese.
