TAYANE, 30 JAHRE

Dear host families, I am Tayane Alves, Currently, Brazilian living in Aarhus, Denmark, With my amazing host family. We are in 6 here, the host parents and 3 boys, 5, 9, and 13 years. I have such a wonderful experience here, and they treat me like a family member. My contract ends in September, and I am looking forward to finding my next host family. I am learning a lot from my current host family, I am living in Denmark for almost 2 years, and during this time, I had the luck to live with two different wonderful host families, with my first host family we were in 5, my host parents, and 2 boys 11 and 13 years ago, my host kids were very independent. So, my daily duties were to keep the house clean and organized. I really felt part of the family with them. Unfortunately, we lived together only for a year because they left the program. My host mother got a new job, and they moved to another city for a smaller house. I have been Aupair in Belgium for 1 year (2016-2017). They treat me like a family, and I really felt it, so I am grateful and happy lived with them. I don't want to leave this host family, but unluckily every visa ended. I took care of three wonderful and active kids, two boys, 3, 5, and a girl, 6. We played indoor and outdoor, painting, drawing, memory games, puzzles, watching together, jumping on the trampoline, playing soccer in the big garden, we had a lot of fun! Many good memories. Almost 4 passed by, the kids are big now, I am following their growth. My Belgian host parents and I still keep in touch, and one while they send me pictures of the kids, they are so big now, and when I see the picture, it feels like yesterday they were tiny kids. From (Sept 2017- January 2018), I was an au pair in the Netherlands for only 5 months. I took care of three boys, 2, 5, and 6. I am the type of person who is observant, especially in the first meeting, but suddenly when I got to know the person, I am funny and talkative. I was raised to be respectful of other people's privacy, boundaries, and household rules and always be considerate of other people's feelings and personal beliefs. I am a firm believer in the saying "treat others as you would want to be treated", so I always make sure to treat everyone with kindness. I would say things that make me most frustrate /upset are rude people, yelling, and disrespect, and I feel like these things make my job difficult and therefore make me not want to work for them. The most important thing to me is the respect and honesty I get from the family, and I think communication is the best way, actually is the "key" for a good and healthy relationship.
