YASMIN, 31 JAHRE

Hello, I’m Yasmin, 26 years old and currently an au pair in the Netherlands looking for a new culture experience after my year as an Au pair here finish.

I take care of two sweet little girls of 6 and 9 years old. But my year here is about to finish. I need to leave in August. Its a little bit sad because I'm having a really nice experience. I have a great Host Family and made amazing friends. But despite this I'm looking forward to be part of another good family and live a new culture.

My duties include taking them to school and picking up from, prepare their meals and go with them to the activities. I’m also prepare the dinner on week days, kids laundry and iron, keep their room and where they play tidy and clean.

I live with an international family, English and Norwegian. The main language in the house is English and because of this I’ve improved a lot.

I have had experience working with kids in Brazil, I have looked after a 10 year old little girl while her parents were out. For the 6 months I took care of her part time, looking after, cooking, helping with the homework and studying maths.

I also have experience with younger kids, my little cousin is 6 years old and lived with me for some time. I'm her God-Mother and since she was a baby we spend at least one day per week together, sometimes for longer - especially when her mother needed to work during the week. We are very close, so we are always doing activities together such as going to the mall, parks and afternoons playgrounds.

My ideal working environment would be a place where the differences can be openly discussed and the problems are solved based in mutual trust and respect. I would like to feel like I have a voice and to be with a family that values my work and effort. If we can't get to an agreement after a long conversation, I would then try to find a middle ground and meet the person half way through.Although I would love to be part of the family and to be treated like a big sister, I am very professional a professional working relationship would also be a viable option for me.


I’m tidy, easy going, responsible and reliable and I have had a great relationship with all my former employers and kids. I'm already graduated, in Architecture.I've had experiences living abroad and dealing with homesick, etc. Also I have big goals for my future and am very focused and organized when I want something.

In my free time I like to socialise with friends, watch tv and cook. I also really like to spend my time with kids and I love dogs.

As I said before I've also lived abroad 2 times, once in Manchester, for 1 month and Edinburgh for 3 months. I really love to travel, I also had the opportunity to visit another countries in Europe and brazilian cities.

I love my family (they are very important to me), friends, music, museum.
