Hi! I'm Lucia, I'm 27 years old and I live in San Juan Argentina. My life goal is to always try to live life to the fullest! I'm very enthusiastic, friendly, compassionate, charming, and cooperative. I love laughing and playing, and I also understand the importance of establishing healthy limits and boundaries as well as developing emotional intelligence in kids. I love babysitting, teaching, and spending time with kids. I am very energetic, flexible, creative, and open to new things. I am also an optimist and I always look to see the positive things in a situation. One of my favorite things about being an AuPair is the cultural exchange and getting to see and experience a new and different side of life! I hope you are interested in my culture as well so we can share and learn new things from each other! Family is very important to me! I live in a big house with my parents and 2 siblings and I have a good relationship with them. I know how to run a household and how to take care of animals. I love animals, though I have to admit I prefer cats! I myself own a cat called Lulu, she is lovely! I also value friendship very much! I have many friends from school, university, and from work that support me and help me grow in every moment of my life! I'm currently studying at the National University of San Juan. Soon I'll get my degree as an English Teacher, but the reality is that I started teaching in private institutes at the age of 18, so I have a lot of experience with kids! Being Argentinian, Spanish is my first language, but I started learning English when I was 4 or 5 years old, and I’m also studying English at University so I have native-like proficiency in English. I love learning languages and all the culture that comes with them, so I’m very excited about learning Danish! I love reading, meeting with friends, and watching series, in my free time. I also enjoy watching sports matches like volleyball, basketball, and rugby. I used to play volleyball and swim when I was younger but now I like going to the gym and doing outdoor activities. I'm very good and cooking and I love learning new recipes! I enjoy listening to music very much and going to concerts as well. I love singing and I started learning a bit of piano and guitar, but I’m not good at either one haha! I truly enjoy learning how to play musical instruments, but I have to admit I haven’t dedicated enough time to it! During my free time, I also like to travel and explore the places around me, joining events and clubs to meet new local people! I love going to the cinema and to local fairs. I hope I can be part of all of your celebrations, holidays, and special events! Three of the greatest loves in my life are traveling, teaching and children. Being an AuPair is the perfect opportunity to combine the 3. I want to become an AuPair because I'm eager to live new and exciting experiences with my new family! I want to help you with the kids and become part of your family! I'm looking forward to working in Denmark because I would love to move permanently to the country after my AuPair experience. I'm really interested in learning the language and the culture. I have an extensive experience with children in a variety of settings. I started working with young kids from 2 to 6 y/o when I was 18, teaching or babysitting them; then in my early 20s I taught English to kids from 7 to 12 y/o, but I really enjoyed working with younger children, so in 2015 I started working as an English teacher in the kindergarten I currently work at. I have 9 years of experience working with kids in the classroom environment and around 3 years of experience babysitting. I love being able to see children grow in a healthy and respectful way, adapting to their needs and preferences, and focusing on their strengths to develop multiple intelligences and emotional intelligence. It is great to be able to give children multiple resources and tools for problem-solving, for the successful learning of different school subjects and also difficulties of daily life, so children can grow up independent with high self-esteem and healthy boundaries. As regards expectations, I hope I can become part of your family! I want to do activities with you and learn about your language and culture. I can do some light housework but I don’t expect to be a housekeeper. I don’t mind cooking for all the family, but I don’t want to be responsible for all the meals. As an AuPair, I expect to take care of your kids, and all things related to that! (taking and picking them up from school or other activities, helping them with school, helping them develop necessary skills, and so many other things). I also expect to be respected by the children and parents, just as I will respect them in return. I know we can work really well together in a respectful and caring environment!
