Hello, future host family! I'm Layla and I'm a lover of languages (currently learning French, Serbian, Russian), animals, traveling, and experiencing new cultures. I am a genuine person who understands the importance of a healthy, safe, PATIENT, warm environment for children. I experienced just that when I was a child, and I am happy to help your child/your children develop into the best little people they can be. :) I spent a summer in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 2019, and there I realized that my dream was to travel the world and learn languages. I began teaching English that same year, and now that's my job (I work online--so it wouldn't interfere with being an Au Pair). I also lived abroad in Serbia from September to December of 2020, to practice my Serbian and experience the Serbian culture, which I loved. I hope to travel more in the future, too! Although I'm an only child, I love children (their outlook on life, their humor, and their brutal honesty). I was supposed to be an Au Pair in France from 2020-2021, but due to the pandemic, sadly our plans had to change. I am a willing Au Pair, with lots of experience teaching both my language (American English) and my culture.
