Dear Host Family,
My name is Sarah Duncan and I am 18 years old. I just graduated from high school and I will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill fall of 2020. I have over 5 years of professional experience working with children so I believe I am qualified when it comes to childcare. Over the course of my childcare experiences I have played with children, read/assisted kids with homework, prepared meals, drove kid(s) to school, cleaned, etc. Being an Au Pair is the next step for me to further my skills in childcare and at the same time gain the experience of traveling abroad. I hope to strengthen my language skills in Korean and learn more about what it is like living in South Korea. Ultimately, I would like to reconnect with my Korean heritage as I am half Korean. By living with a family, I would be immersed in Korean culture and be given the experience of a life time. In addition, meal and accommodation coverage would help me tremendously as I budget my gap year. Overall, I am excited to expand my global perspective and meet my new family in South Korea!
