LAHATRA, 21 JAHRE

Dear potential host family, My name is Lahatra, which means "destiny" in English, and I'm 21 years old. I live in the capital of the fourth largest island in the world (Madagascar). Malagasy is my mother tongue but I speak English fluently and I would define my French level as intermediate. I'm still living with my parents and we are a family of four. In my family, I am the oldest of two siblings and I have a little sister. I live in a family that loves pets like cats, rabbits, chickens and guinea pigs. I am a curious, creative and cheerful person. Because of my personal traits, I always find a way to get in touch with children like asking their preferences and what they would like to play with me. I have not been an au pair yet, but regarding my childcare experience, I spent my summer time at a base camp where I played with kids and interacted with them. Besides, I took care of my friends' children because I really love children. For example, I cooked their meals, read their favorite books, gave them a piggyback ride, gave them a bath, and played their favorite games. Besides, being the first born in my family helps me to take the responsibility of being a big sister who always takes care of her little sister. I can participate in light household chores because I am used to doing them with my family. I will be happy to take part in your family's daily chores. There are several reasons why I want to be an au pair. First of all, I want to live a new thing that will bring a wonderful experience in my life, like living in a new family that is not my own but will become like my second family because we are united by the au pair program. To continue, I am so excited to experience new cultures and share my Malagasy culture with my host family. I would consider it as an intercultural exchange in a new country. Experiencing and understanding new cultures is beneficial for my personal growth. Last but not least, I would like to have new little sisters and brothers with whom I would enjoy every single time. I hope that my presence will bring a positive change and a good atmosphere to my host family. In my spare time, I do a lot of hobbies that really help me to improve my skills like cycling, reading books especially about conservation, watching documentaries about wildlife, camping, gardening and playing puzzles and crossword game. I would love to play my favorite hobbies with your children. I will be psyched to do those with them. Host family, I hope that we will be a good match and I can't wait to get to know with you.
